United States Force Posture Initiatives (USFPI) Modular Accommodation Project

The USFPI Modular Accommodation Project was aimed at providing an interim modular accommodation solution at RAAF Base Darwin for Defence Personnel, to ease pressure on existing facilities.
The project went through a rigorous options analysis design phase and ultimately delivered accommodation for up to 416 personnel. Laundry facilities were provided separate from sleeping accommodation.
Associated service upgrades included, civil/stormwater, mains water supply, sewerage/waste water and an electrical Substation.
RAAF Darwin Fuel Farms 3 and 7 SCADA Controls Upgrades

RAAF Base Darwin has two fuel farms for the storage of jet fuel – FF3 (built circa 1998), and FF7, (built circa 2012). A new Fuel Farm, FF8 is currently in the design phase and is expected to be commissioned in 2020.
Tiwi Partners have been engaged to upgrade the control systems FF3 and FF7 to current technology and to enable the future connections of FF8.
DSTG SATCOM Facilities Upgrade Project, Edinburgh, SA
CLIENT: WGA VALUE: $0.6M
Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) currently operate a satellite communication (SATCOM) ground station facility at Edinburgh, SA.
To adequately progress DSTG SATCOM research and support client needs, the Commonwealth have deemed it necessary to upgrade the SATCOM facility.
Tiwi Partners have been engaged to deliver the site infrastructure and WHS oversight required for installation of additional terminals to meet these requirements.
These works are being delivered with 100% local industry participation
Fence at HMAS Stirling, WA

The aim of this project was to address the environmental safety of wildlife on HMAS Stirling through the upgrade of the sporting oval perimeter fencing, improving Defence’s estate.
Tiwi Partners were awarded the contract for the demolition and disposal of the existing and inadequate fence around the sporting oval, the construction of a new perimeter fence, landscaping works to rejuvenate the grassed oval and associated line-marking.
Works were delivered with 100% local industry participation.

Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) Phase 6 Facilities Upgrade

As part of JORN Phase 6, BAE Systems are undertaking a $1.2 billion upgrade which will take research technological advancement into the operational environment in alignment with the 2016 Defence White Paper. Tiwi Partners have been awarded the $45 million contract to deliver the facilities required for the success of BAE’s ongoing program of works.
The Tiwi Partners scope of works will see the replacement of deteriorating permanent living accommodation with contemporary transit accommodation which will allow the workforce to transition to a travel in/travel out operational support model.
Borroloola Permanent Housing

The Borroloola accommodation project evolved as a short-notice project to provide immediate housing relief to the Borroloola community and aims to support and supplement housing construction works planned by the Northern Territory Government for delivery from 2019.The intention of the housing project is to improve the living conditions in the remote Indigenous community of Borroloola. In particular to address the overcrowding of local families through the provision of new permanent dwellings.
RAAF Darwin Earthen Cover Installation

Tiwi Partners have been engaged to demolish and replace 10 existing explosive ordnance (EO) building earthen covers and associated anchor systems within the Thales EO Facility at RAAF Base Darwin.
Defence Establishment Berrimah Refurbishment

Tiwi Partners were engaged to deliver substantial refurbishment and repair work to return the facility to a fit-for-purpose status. The priority was to address the key areas which were deemed non-compliant including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and disabled access, along with bushfire protection and internal/external cosmetic repairs and refurbishments.
